Apple (AAPL) just reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings numbers, but more importantly, Steve Jobs had this to say:
“The new products we are planning to release this year are very strong, starting this week with a major new product that we’re really excited about.”

Google (GOOG) reported fourth-quarter earnings after the close, beating analysts’ expectations by a nice margin. However, the stock was off by 5% in after-hours trading as Q4 sales figures didn’t blow anybody away.
EPS came in at $6.79 a share, beating the consensus forecast of $6.50 a share. Revenues rose 17 percent to $6.7 billion.
